ZapFetch is billed in credits, in USD. Every successful operation costs exactly one credit — no multipliers for output formats, no premium fees for extraction, and no charge for failures. Whether you request Markdown, HTML, a screenshot, and a structured-extract JSON from a single scrape or just plain text, you pay one credit.
The source of truth for your current subscription and credit balance is console.zapfetch.com/dashboard/billing. Pricing shown here reflects published rates but may lag behind real-time plan changes.

The one rule: 1 credit = 1 operation

OperationCost
POST /v1/scrape1 credit per successful scrape
POST /v1/search1 credit per call (regardless of results)
POST /v1/map1 credit per call
POST /v1/crawl1 credit per page fetched
POST /v1/extract1 credit per call
A single scrape returning Markdown and HTML and a screenshot and a structured-extract JSON is still 1 credit. Same URL, same price, whatever you ask for.

Failures are free

You are not charged for requests that don’t return the content you wanted:
  • HTTP 4xx / 5xx responses
  • Timeouts
  • DNS failures
  • robots.txt denials
  • Partial crawls: only pages that returned 2xx count

Launch pricing and what comes after

Pricing below reflects Launch Year 1 rates (through 2027-04-20):
  • Starter / Pro launch prices (5/5 / 12) are locked in for users who sign up on or before 2027-04-20 — for as long as you keep the subscription active.
  • Starter / Pro new signups after 2027-04-20 are billed at the standard rate (10and10** and **25 respectively).
  • Scale / Business / Enterprise prices are permanent. There is no ramp-up period and no “promo period ended” surprises — these are the published rates going forward.

Credit usage in responses

Every successful response includes a credit-usage block so you can track consumption inline:
{
  "success": true,
  "data": { /* ... */ },
  "creditsUsed": 1,
  "remainingCredits": 4823
}
remainingCredits is cached for approximately 10 minutes to keep hot paths fast. A burst of requests may show the count ticking down in batches rather than strictly one-by-one.

What happens when you run out

  • Once remainingCredits hits zero, subsequent requests return 402 Payment Required with a message pointing to your Billing page.
  • In-flight crawls finish the pages already dispatched; no new pages are scheduled once the balance is exhausted.
  • There is no silent overage. You will never receive a surprise bill — ZapFetch refuses to run above your cap unless you have explicitly opted into overage.

Opt-in overage (Starter and up)

If you would rather keep serving traffic past the cap than receive 402 errors, enable overage in Billing. You are billed per 1,000 extra credits at a flat rate that scales with your plan (cheaper per credit as the plan gets larger).
  • A soft cap triggers a warning email.
  • A hard cap (2× soft) pauses billing automatically, so a runaway loop cannot drain your card.
The Free plan has no overage option. Runaway traffic on Free hits 429 until the next monthly reset.

Add-ons

Add-ons are separate SKUs that stack on top of any plan from Pro up:
  • APAC Residential Proxy — JP / KR / CN / SG / TW residential IPs for sites that block datacenter ranges (Rakuten, Naver, 1688, etc.)
  • CJK Extract Model — Pretrained extractor for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean e-commerce and news content
  • Zero Data Retention — Raw content is dropped within 7 seconds and never written to disk. Available on Business and above.
  • 99.9% Uptime SLA — Contractual service credits on downtime. Available on Business and above.
  • Priority Queue / Dedicated IP Pool — Isolated queues and IP pools for latency-sensitive or high-volume workloads.

Tracking usage

The Console’s Usage page shows per-endpoint credit consumption over time and is the authoritative source for billing reconciliation. Stripe handles invoices, tax, and receipts — everything lives in your Stripe Customer Portal, one click away from the Billing page.
